When you click on your profile picture in the navigation bar, your Personal page will be loaded.

The number of new notifications will be shown outside of Intrexx Share in the portal, if the additional control Share notifications from the Design module has been integrated.

Modules

Using the navigation bar, you can reach the modules News, Groups, Events, Filebox, News, Photos and Advertisements by clicking on the respective button.

The order of the module buttons in the navigation bar can be adjusted per drag & drop. So that you can do that, show the extended area of the navigation bar by clicking on Show more. If you'd like to hide certain module buttons from the navigation bar for an extended period of time, simply drag the button to the dotted area in the extended area.

The module is then only available via the extended area. It can be moved back into the navigation bar at anytime via drag & drop.

Search

Click on Search to search through all modules in Intrexx Share for users and posts. The search results can be restricted using the filters Search for: Post and/or Search for: People. In the results list, corresponding links are shown which jump to the source. Additional information regarding options for filtering in Intrexx Share can be found here.

Just like the Module buttons, these can be shown or hidden in the navigation bar.

This restores the navigation bar to its default.

Opens the help pages which will support you in using Intrexx Share.

3. Filters

On the overview page of each Intrexx Share module, you'll find - depending on the currently opened module - different filters which you can use to restrict the information.

Filter buttons

With the following filter buttons, the content of the middle column can be filtered in Intrexx Share:

Important filters by posts which have been marked as important.
Urgent filters by posts which have been marked as urgent.
Reminders filters by posts for which you have requested a reminder
Read confirmation filters by posts which have been marked with a read confirmation.
Favorites filters by posts which you have requested set as a favorite.

Filters can be deactivated by clicking on the respective button again.

Due date

With this slider, you can filter the posts, where you have selected the option Remind me, using the following time periods: Intrexx Share differentiates between two types of due dates: To begin with, this filter doesn't differentiate between whether the due date was defined by a plugin or by you. If you additionally activate the filter Reminders, only the posts, for which you've provided a due date yourself, will be shown.

Search term

With this filter, you can search through the posts of your current module based on the text you enter into this field. Both post and comment text will be searched through here.

Categories

The top part of this filter displays the categories available in your portal such as Tasks, Appointments, Messages etc. The bottom area, you can find the applications, for which Plugins have been defined, that you have subscirbed to. When you select a category, the bottom half will automatically only show the applications which are included in this category. Multiple categories and applications can be defined as filters at the same time.

Date

With this filter, you can restrict the time period of the posts shown. The current date is highlighted in color in the calendar. You can select a time period by holding down the left mouse button and dragging out the required time period. To select an entire month, click on the calendar's header and then on the month's name. With Previous and Next you can move backwards and forwards through the months. If you move the mouse over the month in the header, a list will open with all 12 months. Select one of the months to select all of the days of this month. If you move the mouse over the year in the calendar's header, a list will open displaying the previous 4 years, the current year, and the next 4 years.

If the calendar doesn't show the current month, you can click on the link Today at the bottom of the calendar to navigate to the current date. The element Filter by date also provides a year view which allows you to select multiple months at once. To switch between the month and year view, right-click on the calendar and select the view you need.

In the year view, you can also filter by quarter. To do this, click on one of the quarters (Q1 to Q4) on the left-hand side.

Current filter

All active filters are shown in the middle column of Intrexx Share above the posts.

Individual filters can be deactivated by clicking on the corresponding filter action.

Alternatively, you can click on the same filter again in the Filters area, where you initially activated the filter. Save current filter saves your individually defined filter for the current page. The settings for the filters Date and Search term will not be included in this. Reset current filter restores the original filter settings - depending on which module you're in.

Please note that the filter works both when accessing Share with a desktop PC as well as with a mobile device.

4. Uploading files and images

If you see the File selection element on a page, you are able to upload images or files, such as your profile image here. Upload the desired image or file by dragging it to the corresponding area or by selecting it from a directory by clicking on the File selection. In most areas, uploading multiple files or images is possible, such as when adding an attachment to a post. Already uploaded images are listed below the File selection, and can be removed again by clicking Delete file.

5. Lists

If you encounter a list in Intrexx Share, such as here when selecting languages, you'll find the button Search next to the corresponding edit field. With this, you can search for the term entered in the edit field in the predefined lists in Intrexx Share. If the entered term isn't found in the list, it can be added easily by clicking on Save. The new term is now available to all users in the corresponding list.

6. Showing and hiding text

Text in posts, advertisements or general descriptions which is too long is automatically shortened,

Click on the text to show the currently hidden part.

The long text can be hidden again by clicking on the link Show less.

7. Sort order of feeds

The basic sorting of posts can be specified in your personal settings. However, it may sometimes be helpful to temporarily change the ordering of the posts. Each post has a positioning date that determines its position in the list. Posts that you write directly in Intrexx Share are given the creation date as the positioning date. For these posts, therefore, the post that has been created most recently will appear at the top. For posts that are created by apps, the date to be used as the positioning date, and the position at which the post will initially be listed, can be specified in the configuration of the corresponding plugins. To determine the list order, you can use, for example, the date the post was created, a fixed date, or a relative time. Last interaction takes into account whether comments have been made on a post, or if the post has been shared, and places the post to which there has most recently been an interaction at the top of the list, regardless of its positioning date.

Chronological

Chronological displays the posts sorted according to their positioning dates. Even if comments are submitted, or the post is shared, the order of the posts remains unchanged.

Last interaction

Last interaction takes into account whether comments have been made on a post, or if the post has been shared, and places the post to which there has most recently been an interaction at the top of the list, regardless of its positioning date.

8. Advertisements

The Advertisements element is shown in all modules. Here the advertisements, that you or your colleagues have entered, are displayed randomly, and according to the target group settings. By clicking on the advertisement title or on the image of the advert, you will see all of the information relating to this advertisement.

From the name of the creator of the advertisement you can switch to their personal page. If there are no advertisements shown in the element, you can switch directly to the Advertisements module by clicking on Next. There you can also create advertisements yourself.

9. Photo albums

Here, you can see the four latest photo albums which have been made visible to you in the privacy settings. When the mouse moves over the preview image, you will see the title of the photo album. Click the preview image to switch to the selected photo album. When at least four new photo albums are available, the Show all button is shown, which you can click to switch to the overview page of the Photos modules. If there are no photo albums that have been assigned to you, the element is not shown on your News page. You can then switch to the Photos module via the navigation bar to, for example, create a photo album yourself.

10. Documents

Uploaded documents, such as those from posts, are listed in the Documents element. The creator and the creation date are listed there as well. Clicking one of the documents lets you open or save it. Click on Edit to change the post text or attachments.

This allows you to connect data, which supplements or relates to other data, together (e.g. groups with groups, events with groups, photo albums with groups etc.). The button is available if you are the creator of the group, event, photo album etc., respectively. When the button is clicked on, a tooltip opens where you can create the objects which are appropriate for your connection. You can also create a Connection to an existing object by clicking on the corresponding link.

The object, which was open when you clicked on the Connections button, is already entered here - in the example shown, a Group. Beneath this, you can see all possible objects with which you can connect your source object.

All allowed objects are provided in the drop-down list. Select the object which contains the data you'd like to connect.

You can see the master data of the target object at the bottom of the tooltip.

Two-way connection

The connection can be made in one direction - from the main object (source) to target object selected here - or in both directions. To do that, activate the option Would you like to create a two-way connection?. Afterwards, click on Save connection.

Connection element

Existing connections are shown in the Connection element. In the title list, the object types with the respective totals are shown. The Connection element is always shown where a connection or two-way connection has been created. Click on the title of the connected object to load the corresponding module and the target object. If you click on Show more information, additional information about the object will be shown.
