Starting Point of a Relationship Diagram

When you create a new relationship diagram,you will be led through the configuration of the starting point – marked in the following illustration with a red circle.

All subsequent relationships and links in the diagram are dependent on the starting point. In an existing diagram, you can reach the context menu item New / Start Element if the starting point is highlighted. From this menu item, a new relationship item can be created, which is superior to the starting point.

Every subordinate node in the relationship diagram can be selected as starting point in the Relationships view element in the Application Designer. With this, one and the same diagram can be reused for various data groups.

When a new relationship diagram is created, you are automatically taken to the dialog for selecting the data source for the starting point.
