For certain application cases, it can be advantageous to have access to an M-Files server always occur with the same user, without requiring interactive logon.
An example would be an Intrexx process that accesses an M-Files vault through a data groups action. Since no interactive authentication is possible within a process, and single sign-on authentication is also not possible, the best approach is to define a static user who is used to perform authentication.
A static user is fundamentally linked with an Intrexx user, and contains the M-Files logon data (user name and password). Static users can be saved to data groups or to user switch actions in processes.
To create a static user, click Insert additional users and select an Intrexx user in the subsequent dialog box.
