File Selection

Enter a title for the file selection control here. You can use the buttons to the right of the Title field to enter the title in multiple languages, and provide alternative text if an end device is unable to display images.

This area shows you some templates that you can use as a layout for the information about the uploaded files. When you click one of the preview images, the paths to the corresponding Velocity files in use will be refreshed in the fields below the preview images. Two directories are specified there: the path to the Velocity file that controls the Uploaded files display, and the path to the Velocity file that controls the New files display, for files uploaded with the file selection.

Click the Custom display preview image to empty these fields and activate the

Edit Velocity file buttons. Click these buttons to open a dialog box in which you can select a Velocity file.

Select Entry required to make the file selection a mandatory field. The data record cannot be saved until a file has been selected.

Selecting Enable download allows users to either Save the file or Open in browser. This will open the file in a new window if you set the option to Open in new window.

The following options are available in the Delete file selection list:

Do not enable: A button will not be shown in the end device that allows the file to be deleted.
While saving: A button is shown to delete the file. The file will only be deleted, however, when the entire data record is saved.
Immediately: A button is shown to delete the file. The file is immediately physically deleted when the user clicks this button.

Please note that if you choose the Immediate delete setting, the file will be irrevocably deleted, regardless of whether the entire data record is saved.

With the option Replace existing files files of the same name will be replaced in the upload procedure. With Attach files at beginning new files will be inserted at the top of the file list. Intrexx therefor uses an internal sorting field. Attach files at end causes the files to be attached at the end of the list.
