Multiple Selection - Data Source

Here the data source will be defined from which the entries in the multiple selection originate.

Values from Applications

With the data source Values from applications, an Application, the desired Data group, and the Data field, the specific values of which will be shown in the multiple selection, will be defined. In the Control type selection list, select the appropriate Control type for the display of the entries. In the Saved value selection list, all data fields from the selected data group will be shown. Here you can define the field, the values of which will be saved when the user selects an entry in the multiple selection list. This gives you the ability, for example, to show names of employees in the multiple selection list, but to not save the names, but rather the ID number that belongs to them.

The value in Maximum entries limits the number of entries. With the value of -1, all entries will be shown.

By clicking on Filter, the entries can be filtered before they are shown in the multiple selection.

In Sorting, fields will be defined, according to which the entries in the multiple selection will be sorted. By clicking Sort the values can be sorted in ascending or descending order.

In Selection filter, you have the ability to construct a filter above the multiple selection, in which images or symbols will be implemented to filter the entries. By clicking on Selection Filter, a dialog will be opened in which you can assign the images and define the filter.

With the setting to Adjust displayed value for saved value, the data field that you have selected in the Values from applications area will be used. If this setting is not active, you can define the displayed values yourself by clicking Display Value . In this, the value that is saved is that of the data field that you have selected in the Values from applications area.

Users and Groups

With this setting, the multiple selection will be used for the selection of users, user groups, and additional objects from the Intrexx User Manager. In the properties dialog of the distributor selection, it will be defined which filter buttons (Users, Groups, Distribution Lists, Organizational Units, Roles) will be shown in the browser.

With the setting for Maximum number of elements in dialog, the number of search hits to be shown can be restricted. In the people and groups selection, no additional filters can be defined or changes made to the existing filter settings.

By clicking on Selection Filter the selection filters of the control can be edited.

Create Distribution List and Edit Distribution List will show the corresponding buttons for the creation and editing of distribution lists.

The setting Display all entries in case of all selection filters are inactive will show all entries, if no filter button is pressed.

With the setting Display deactivated Users the users whose accounts are disabled in the users module will be displayed additionally.

With the setting Customize displayed values the entries in the Users and Groups List can be edited by clicking on Edit displayed Values.

User-defined Values

User-defined values are values that do not stem from a data source, but rather are entered statically.

Select the desired Data Type of the saved Value.

By clicking on Add new user-defined value, a new value can be created.

With Delete user-defined value, the highlighted entry will be removed. With Edit user-defined value, the selected value can be edited. You can change the order of the entries with the Arrow buttons. The entry that is highlighted in the Preselection column will be preselected in the selection list when the page is loaded.
