Edit Element - Final Settings

With Create Label , along with the new element, a view element of type Static Text, which will automatically take the name of the new element. If the checkbox to Show Properties Dialog is marked, after clicking Finish, the properties dialog of the element will open. After clicking Finish, the element will then be entered to the workspace.

When creating an edit field with the control type Date, Time, or Date And Time, a Data Picker can additionally be created in the final settings. On the workspace, you will then find a calendar button to the right of the edit field.

In the browser, clicking on the button will show a small calendar. The date that is selected here will be automatically entered to the edit field. With an existing edit field, the calendar for date selection can also be added later from the context menu.

On the General tab in the properties dialog of an existing edit field, the setting to Open calendar in tooltip upon click in edit field can be selected.

With this setting, the small calendar will be immediately shown when a user clicks on the edit field in the browser.

For date, time, and date & time controls on the iPhone and the iPad, a rotating wheel will automatically be created for the edit field, which will be shown with a click or tab into the field.

If a value does not exist in the field, the current date will be set; otherwise, the date in the field will be used. The slots in the rotating wheel will be constructed according to the set date format.
